গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ সরকারের শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়, মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চশিক্ষা অধিদপ্তর, মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ড ঢাকা-এর আওতায় বাংলাদেশ বিমান বাহিনী কর্তৃক সুপরিচালিত একটি স্বনামধন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান বিএএফ শাহীন কলেজ ঢাকা। বাংলাদেশে বর্তমানে সাতটি শাহীন কলেজের মধ্যে এটি অন্যতম ‘শিক্ষা-সংযম-শৃঙ্খলা’ হচ্ছে এ কলেজের নীতিবচন। নিষ্ঠার সাথে এ নীতিসমূহ বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যেই পরিচালিত হচ্ছে প্রতিষ্ঠানের কর্মকাণ্ড। এ কলেজের ছাত্রছাত্রী প্রত্যেকে এক একজন ‘শাহীন’। একজন শাহীন একটি মুক্ত বিহঙ্গ। স্বাধীন চিন্তাধারায় পরিচ্ছন্ন পরিবেশে সাহসিকতার সাথে মানব পরিমল্ডলে হবে তার বিচরণ।
প্রগতিশীল সমাজের ভবিষ্যৎ নাগরিকেরা হবে সুশিক্ষিত, আচরণে ও জীবনবোধে হবে সংযমী এবং জীবনযাপনে হবে সুশৃঙ্খল। আর সে কারণেই আমাদের মূলনীতি ‘শিক্ষা-সংযম-শৃঙ্খলা’। পুথিগত বিদ্যার পাশাপাশি সাংস্কৃতিক চর্চা, খেলাধুলা ছাড়াও আমরা নানাবিধ সহ-পাঠ্যক্রম কার্যাবলিকেও যথাযথ গুরুত্ব দিয়ে থাকি। আমাদের লক্ষ্য একজন শিক্ষার্থীকে মানবিক গুণাবলি সম্পন্ন শিক্ষিত, সৎ, নিষ্ঠাবান ও দেশপ্রেমিক সুনাগরিক হিসেবে গড়ে তোলা।
এ কলেজে রয়েছে দু’টি সুবিশাল খেলার মাঠ, জাতীয়মানের হকি টার্ফ ও ২টি বাস্কেটবল গ্রাউন্ড। বিজ্ঞান চর্চার জন্য রয়েছে গবেষণাগার। প্রযুক্তিগত দক্ষতা অর্জনের জন্য রয়েছে ২টি অত্যাধুনিক কম্পিউটার ল্যাব। অধ্যয়নের জন্য রয়েছে কয়েক হাজার সময়োপযোগী বইপুস্তক সমৃদ্ধ পাঠাগার। সাহিত্য ও সংস্কৃতি চর্চার জন্য রয়েছে অত্যাধুনিক সরঞ্জামে সজ্জিত অডিটোরিয়াম। নিয়মিত পাঠদানের জন্য রয়েছে আধুনিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা সম্পন্ন পর্যাপ্ত ক্লাসরুম। বিশাল ক্যাম্পাসে রয়েছে সুবিন্যস্ত বৃক্ষরাজি সমৃদ্ধ তরুদ্যান, যা কলেজকে করেছে আরও প্রাণবন্ত। সর্বোপরি সুযোগ্য শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকা, যাঁরা অত্যন্ত নিষ্ঠার সাথে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের শিক্ষাদানের পাশাপাশি প্রকৃত মানুষ হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার প্রচেষ্টায় নিবেদিত।
আমার দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী ও অভিভাবকদের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় এ কলেজ প্রতিটি শিক্ষার্থীকে সৎ, আদর্শ ও মননশীল চিন্তার অধিকারী একজন সুনাগরিক হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে সক্ষম হবে।

Message of the Principal
BAF Shaheen College Dhaka is a well renowned educational institution under Ministry of Education, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Directorates, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dhaka. It is very successfully run by Bangladesh Air Force. It’s one of the seven Shaheen Colleges currently run in Bangladesh. The motto of this college is ‘Education – Restraint - Discipline’. The activities of this institution are run to materialize the motto with reverence. Each and every student of this institution is called a ‘Shaheen’ . Shaheen is a fetterless bird. It perambulates with free thinking, immaculate environment and bravery around human sphere.
The future citizens of the progressive society will be well educated, restrained in behavior and sense of life as well as disciplined in life leading. That is why our motto is ‘Education – Restraint - Discipline’. Besides academic education, we also focus on cultural exercise, sports and several co-curricular activities. Our aim is to make a student educated with philanthropic quality, honest, devoted and patriot citizen.
This college has two large playgrounds, a national standard hockey turf, a very beautiful basketball ground and a unique squash court. It has laboratories for practical classes. For enriching technological skill, there are two well-equipped modern computer labs. Besides, there is a library enriched with thousands of updated books. For literary and cultural activities, there is a unique auditorium decorated with ultra-modern instrumental facilities. For regular teaching, there are sufficient class rooms with modern amenities. In its vat campus, there is literally a gorgeous lawn enriched with well-arranged trees that have made the campus more eye catching. Above all, there are highly qualified teachers devoted to make the students true human being with quality education.
I firmly believe that, with the combine efforts of teachers, students and parents, this college would prepare each of the students as an honest, empathetic and ideal citizen.
